Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship will be holding a free Open House to give the community an opportunity to learn more about the services that it offers to children and adults with special needs. This fun, family orientated day will include demonstrations by our talented students highlighting the programs that Ride On provides including therapeutic riding and hippotherapy – physical therapy on horseback. There will be plenty of entertainment and fun activities for children including stick horse crafts, jolly jump, pony petting, face and hair painting and a horseshoe hunt. There will also be staff and board members on hand to talk about volunteer and involvement opportunities. The Open House will also recognize the support of the community and the partnership with Conejo Recreation and Park District. The event will be held at 401 Ronel Court, Newbury Park between 10am – 2pm. Lunch will be served by local Rotarians between 11.30am and 1pm, the event is free and public are encouraged to attend. The Ultimate 5-day Camp Clinic is held during the first 2 weeks of each month. Guests will arrive on Sunday and settle in. Instruction begins on Monday and concludes on Friday. We will start each day by 9:00 AM with lunch break from 12 noon -1:30 PM and finish at 5:00 PM. Departure for guests will be by Saturday 12 noon. Participation is limited to 3 guests per group. Cost: $1250 for single room. $1000 for share loft accommodation. Price includes: Lodging for you, Breakfast each day and Mid-Morning snack with beverage, boarding for your horse which consists of a box stall with run and Bermuda Grass hay for feed. Liston Stables presents a Dressage clinic with Jutta Schott. Jutta has been a professional rider and trainer since 1968. She received her training in Germany and is licensed by the German National Equestrian Federation to teach and train both horse and rider at all levels, including FEI. Frozen Semen Series - This 3-Day School teaches participants the practices associated with utilizing frozen-thawed semen in the breeding of horses, and the use of ultrasography to assess the follicular status and pregnancy status of their own mares. George Liblin of G&F Carriages is offering a FREE driving clinic. When: Sunday, April 27, 2008. Time: 10AM to finish. Place: G&F Trailers, 2175 S. Willow Ave., Bloomington, CA. Trail Trials - Sanctioned by California State Horsemen's Assoction, and put on by Norco Horsemen's Association and CSHA Region 11 Trail Trials Program. Held at: Hidden Valley Wildlife Area, 11401 Arlington Ave., Riverside. This is a natural trail ride (no cars or houses!) where you will be judged on 10 obsticles natural to this area.
