Jutta Schott, Feitlehrer FN 2010 Clinics will be held at Liston Stables. Saturdays Starting at 9am to 1:30pm, Jutta has been a professional rider and trainer since 1968. She received her training in Germany and is licensed by the German National Equestrian Federation to teach and train both horse and rider at all levels, including FEI. She also holds the German Bronze and Silver medal. After teaching and competing in Germany, Jutta and her mare went to Vienna, where she spent seven years as an assistant trainer at the stable of Arthur Kottas, Chief Rider of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. The second bi-annual Laminitis West Conference is slated for September 17-18, 2010, in Monterey, California. Veterinarians, farriers, and veterinary students from all over the country will be invited to attend and we expect 300-500 people to join us. In November of 2008 we held a one-day Laminitis West Conference, introducing the conference as a west coast complement to the International Conference on Laminitis and Diseases of the foot that is held in Palm Beach, Florida every other year. The premier of Laminitis West was an absolute success. Laminitis West 2010 promises to be an extraordinary two day conference with six presenters covering the most up-to-date information and research on laminitis, as well as a case presentation panel on Saturday night. * Saturday, September 18th, we will hold a day of lectures on laminitis and diseases of the foot for clients. This will include lunch, time for questions and discussion, and a cocktail hour with the conference's vete! rinary and farrier attendees. 18-19 Acton Chamber of Commerce and Craig Camerons Extreme Cowboy Association are hosting The Extreme Cowboy Horsemanship Skills Challenge. The Extreme Cowboy skills challenge is a 2-Day Elimination event held at the Vincent Meadows in Action. The event is sanctioned by the Extreme Cowboy Association with points earned toward state, Regional & National Finals. Horse and & Rider Team will ride on a timed, closed course of 6 to 12 "Judged skills" based on situations that may be encountered while working on a Ranch or Riding the Trail. There are 6 divisions including a new "Novice" class so that riders of all ages and skills can join in. The event size is limited to the first 60 paid entries. There will be food, drink, vendors and fun for the whole family. Sunday morning there will be a Cowboy Church & Breakfast. Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship will be hosting their annual fundraising event on Saturday September 25th 2010, at El Campeon Farms in beautiful Hidden Valley.
