Stepping Stone Farms, LLC is owned and operated by Dacia Peters, and is now located at the Southern California Equestrian Center (formerly known as Galway Downs) in Temecula.

Choosing the floral arrangements, cake tasting and discovering the perfect location for the wedding; not necessarily a day in the life of most sporthorse trainers. However fitting in the wedding plans is how SteppingStone SportHorses Trainer Dacia Peters is beginning the new year. Set to be married in March, 2010, Dacia has a busy year in store, all the while she is running a successful sport horse breeding, training and showing program.

Working with horses is Dacia's passion. She specializes in Imports, Sales, Breeding, Training, & Showing.  " As a trainer, I have a daily goal and a career goal for each horse. I always set the horse up to win and not fail by challenging them just enough mentally and physically that they can handle it and rise to the occasion. This makes the horse's trust grow and the horse's work ethic gets stronger because they ENJOY what they do," says Dacia. Dacia has 26 years in the saddle and has been training from coast to coast; she has competed at the national level in intercollegiate equitation and has interned with several top trainers, breeders and riders across the country. She competes with her own mounts and clients' horses at all levels from weanlings and ultimately to Grand Prix. 

One of Dacia's goals through the Stepping Stone program is to have a team of winning riders with top horses who ride and show together with a camaraderie,  passion, and most of all friendship with not only each other but with their horses. Her "building a rider" technique uses a horse with a steady foundation and teaches its rider the best ways to communicate and build a partnership.   "I teach the way I would like to learn, I want valuable information conveyed in a positive way. As a riding instructor, I spend a lot of time complimenting the good things before correcting the things that need improvement to build the rider's confidence." Stepping Stone Sport Horses is now accepting riders with the desire to learn, the motivation to train as an athlete and the dedication it takes to succeed as a top rider.

Not only is Dacia a rider and trainer but she is an owner/breeder.  She owns several young horses she has bred herself in the US, one of which is a licensed stallion Chongo Wongo.  To top the list, she co-owns Top Line Farms, LLC who owns the Elite Hanoverian stallion, "For Play." The program offers stallion management, breeding services, promoting and showing of both stallions and offspring.
