7th annual Ride & Stride and Horse Heritage Festival at Walnut Grove Park
Round up your posse, strap up those sneakers, harness your pooch, or saddle up your horse, and come out for the 17th annual Ride & Stride and Horse Heritage Festival at Walnut Grove Park on Sunday, October 15th. This year, we will have a special spotlight on the important subject of fire preparedness for your home, property and animals.
Following the “Ride & Stride”, family fun activities abound. Join us for horsemanship demonstrations, frontier games, hands-on exhibits, and food, as well as the San Marcos High School FFA and TERI Inc. Farmyard Photo Booth and Pumpkin Patch. Photos and hashtag postings welcome!
We are asking participants to involve their network of family, friends and neighbors in this community fundraising effort. All contributions (sponsorships, Ride & Stride participation fees, and donations) collected are fully tax deductible and support this public facility that is used for so much, including pleasure riding, equestrian events, trail staging and emergency evacuation. The Horse Heritage Festival promotes the rich cultural history of San Marcos and the importance of preserving a rural and equestrian presence within the community. Participation by riding clubs and organizations furthers the cohesiveness of our equestrian community and demonstrates our strong support for this horse park.
This event is a collaboration of efforts from the local clubs, organizations, and businesses which have a presence in our Valley.
